Summary
Return of the Mount Hua Sect is a murim action fantasy that follows Cheongmyeong, the legendary Plum Blossom Sword Saint and 13th disciple of the Mount Hua Sect. After defeating the Heavenly Demon during a devastating war that nearly destroyed the martial world, he dies from his injuries with regret over the sacrifices made during the conflict. However, instead of remaining dead, he awakens one hundred years later in the body of a child and discovers that the once-great Mount Hua Sect has fallen into poverty and decline.
Determined to restore the sect to its former glory, Cheongmyeong begins rebuilding Mount Hua through brutal training, unconventional methods, and overwhelming martial skill. Unlike traditional murim protagonists focused solely on revenge or domination, his journey combines comedy, sect development, martial arts progression, and character-driven relationships. The series is widely recognized for balancing intense sword combat with humor, strong supporting characters, and long-term world building centered around the revival of the Mount Hua Sect.
